Wild Yaks: Rejoice! God Loves Wild Yaks (Album Review)

The Wild Yaks are one of funnest live bands in Brooklyn. Whimsical lyrics sung in a coarse grunty voice that become gang chants amongst the band and audience.

I was pretty excited to hear the new album Rejoice! God Loves Wild Yaks. But now I realize I already know all these songs from their shows. Still great. It feels like Rockaway Beach or when Don Draper finally found peace at the hippy commune in the series finale (spoiler alert).

I highly recommend seeing them live. That’s their real strength. Their albums merely help you get by when there are no shows. But it’s a necessity nonetheless.
